Stephen A. Schneider

Stephen A. Schneider spent his entire working career in banking and the financial services industry. He began his career with Bank of America in California in 1974 and rose through the ranks in the commercial banking arena. He moved to Nevada in 1989 to manage their commercial banking group when BofA purchased a state bank thus beginning their first entry into national banking. He continued his banking career with US Bank after a merger of the local BofA until leaving banking for a short time only to continue his career with Bank West of Nevada, now Western Alliance Bank – Bank of Nevada. Steve retired in 2012 as a Senior Vice President.

Steve is a graduate of The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is also a graduate of the National Commercial Lending Graduate School of the American Bankers Association at the University of Oklahoma.

He has been active in the non-profit world. Steve was a Trustee of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation and served as its CFO. He remains involved with the Fraternity as President of the local alumni association and is a founder and treasurer of the Western States Leadership School. He is a consulting rosarian of the American Rose Society and is a member of F & AM Vegas Lodge 32. Among other organizations he has been on the board of Nevada Council on Economic Education and Consumer Credit Counselors.
